Metrics

Metrics in FunnelStory are numeric or aggregate measures tied to accounts (and sometimes users or products) that refresh with your workspace data models. You interact with them on the default dashboard as summary cards, inside the Accounts grid as columns or sparklines, on account detail as trends, and—when enabled—under Other views → Property charts for cross-account distributions.

How metrics are produced

Admins define account metrics (and related configurations) in Configure → Models and related tooling. Each metric has a definition, aggregation window, and display rules. After a refresh, FunnelStory recomputes values so dashboards and grids stay aligned with the same underlying numbers.

Account-level metric history

On an account, open the metrics or analytics sections your workspace exposes (wording varies by version). There you can:

  • Compare current values to prior periods when history is stored.
  • See trend visualizations for key drivers of health or adoption.
  • Correlate movements with Timeline events or Needle movers.

If a metric looks flat or empty, confirm the underlying data connection and model mapping are populating for that account.

Property charts (workspace-wide)

When Property charts is enabled for your user, Other views → Property charts lists charts built from account properties across the full account set. Pick a time range to see how distributions or aggregates shift week over week. This is useful for segmentation reviews with Marketing or Finance that go beyond a single account.

Access is often gated by workspace policy—if you do not see the view, ask an admin.

Using metrics with filters and signals

  • In Accounts, metric columns and sparklines respect the same filters as the rest of the grid.
  • Signals can reference metric thresholds; when a signal fires, it may appear on Timeline and power Notifications or CRM sync.
