Audiences
An audience is a saved definition of which accounts (and related users) match a set of rules in your workspace. Create audiences when you need repeatable segments for the Accounts view, CRM list sync, workflows, or campaign-style follow-up—without rewriting filters each time.
How audiences work
Each audience stores a name, optional description, and a filter built from conditions you combine with AND, OR, and NOT groups (see Audience filters). FunnelStory evaluates that filter against your Account model and related data on refresh, then stores how many accounts and users match, optional top account traits for quick scanning, and timestamps such as last refreshed.
Some audiences are marked as AI-discovered when they originate from suggested segments; you can still edit, clone, or delete them like manually created audiences.
Creating and managing audiences
-
Open Audiences (navigation path
/audiences). -
Choose New Audience (or start from an empty state that creates a draft with a generated name).
-
Open the audience, build or adjust filters, and use preview to see matching users and accounts before you rely on the segment in production.
-
Save changes; FunnelStory updates match counts as data refreshes.
You can clone an existing audience to iterate on a variant, rename or refine filters over time, and delete audiences you no longer need. Match counts and previews help confirm the definition matches your intent after model or funnel changes.
AI-suggested audiences
FunnelStory can propose suggested audiences derived from patterns in your current book of business. Review each suggestion, inspect the implied filters and match rates, then save or adapt them into a standard audience you own.
Where audiences show up
| Area | Use |
|------|-----|
| Accounts | Restrict the working account list with Select Audiences (global filters and sidebar chips) so day-to-day work stays inside a segment. |
| Audience detail | Open a single audience to inspect matching accounts and summary stats. |
| CRM sync | Attach a HubSpot list sync to an audience so membership stays aligned with CRM—see Audience sync. |
| Workflows | Reference audiences when configuring workflow filters so automations run for the same segment. |
