Salesforce sync

Salesforce sync writes FunnelStory account or user intelligence into Salesforce so reports, list views, and flows can consume the same metrics your team already trusts in FunnelStory. Configure it after you have a working Salesforce connection with appropriate admin permissions.

Sync types

TypeBest for
Account syncPushing account-level properties, activities, subscriptions, signals, and metrics to Account (or configured) records.
User syncPushing user-level properties and activities, plus selected subscription attributes scoped to each user’s account.

Pick the type in Sync Data → Add New Configuration → Select sync type.

Configuring an account sync

  1. Open /syncsAdd New Configuration.
  2. Choose Account sync.
  3. Select your Salesforce data connection.
  4. Choose a schedule (fixed intervals such as 1 Hour24 Hour, or Manual).
  5. Under each section (Account properties, Account activities, Account subscriptions, Account signals, Account metrics), tick the fields you want outbound—only populated options appear.
  6. Save, then trigger Sync now (or wait for the interval).

First successful runs typically create or populate the Salesforce custom structures your implementation agreed on (often namespaced so admins can find FunnelStory-owned objects quickly). Use Salesforce Setup → Object Manager to verify fields after the first run.

Configuring a user sync

Follow the same entry path, choose User sync, and select user properties, user activities, and any account subscription fields that should ride along for each contact’s parent account. Save and run like account sync.

Runs, errors, and auditing

Each configuration shows last sync run status. Failed runs surface error text in the run history so you can correct mappings or Salesforce permissions. Important configuration changes and runs also appear in the workspace Audit log.
