Managing workspace funnels

The Funnels page is the control plane for journey definitions: see everything in one table, narrow by product, and drill into a single funnel to edit stages or change its evaluator.

Prerequisites

  • Products configured in your workspace so each funnel can be associated with a catalog product (see Products model).
  • Models and data behind your stage filters (activities, metrics, properties) set up and refreshing as usual.

The funnel list

  1. Open Funnels (/funnels).
  2. Use the product control to filter the table to one product or view all funnels.
  3. Each row shows the funnel name, product, status, and actions such as open, refresh, activate/deactivate, and delete.

You can maintain multiple funnel records per product. That is useful for experiments, seasonal motions, or handoff between teams—only one of them should be active for a given product at a time (see below).

Creating a funnel

  1. Click New Funnel (or the empty-state action).
  2. In the dialog, select a product—this association cannot be skipped for the current multi-product experience.
  3. Choose the evaluator (Timeline or Last match). You can change it later on the funnel overview as well.
  4. Click Configure manually. FunnelStory creates the funnel with a default stage template (five stages such as Acquisition through a purchase-oriented stage) so you can rename and add filters quickly.

You land on the funnel detail screen. If stages are not yet configured with filters, the product keeps you in the Configure Funnel Stages experience until enough stages are ready.

Saving, naming, and activation

When you Save Funnel from the stage editor:

  • Set a clear name (for example “Enterprise trial motion”).
  • If no other funnel is active for that product, you can turn on Activate this Funnel in the save dialog.
  • If another funnel for the same product is already active, the activation switch is not offered—you must deactivate the other funnel first from the list or detail flow, then activate the one you want.

After save, FunnelStory may activate and navigate you back to the funnel list depending on the choices in the dialog.

Active vs draft

StateMeaning
ActiveThis funnel’s stages and evaluator drive the primary journey experience for its product on Accounts and related surfaces (subject to your workspace layout).
DraftEditable definition that does not replace the active funnel until you activate it (and deactivate any competitor for that product).

Use deactivate on a row when you need to pause a motion without deleting its configuration.

Refresh

Refresh re-runs evaluation for that funnel so account placement and stage stats reflect the latest ingested data. Run a refresh after meaningful configuration changes or if results look stale relative to your sync cadence.

Removing a funnel

Delete removes the definition from the workspace. If you might need the structure again, prefer deactivate and keep the draft until you are sure.
