Slack notifications
Send FunnelStory activity and signal updates to Slack so CSMs and leadership see changes in the tools they already live in. Each notification configuration ties together events, account scope, channels, and message templates.
Before you start
Add a Slack data connection for the workspace and complete OAuth so FunnelStory can list channels and post on your behalf.
Create a Slack configuration
- Open Admin → Notifications.
- Choose New Configuration (or equivalent) and select Slack.
- Work through the panels in order:
When these happen
Choose one or more activities and signals that should fire this configuration. Signals can include types your workspace has enabled—such as predictions, audiences, or subscription tags—alongside standard signal rules.
In any of these accounts
Limit delivery with Select accounts: all selected accounts, or a saved filter so only matching accounts trigger posts.
Notify these channels
Pick the Slack connection (if you have more than one) and the channel(s) where messages should appear. You can send activities and signals to different channels within the same configuration when you need separation (for example, #signals vs #usage-alerts).
Templates
Choose an activity template and a signal template. Templates control formatting and how much context each message includes.
- Save the configuration. You can create multiple Slack configurations—for example, different channels or account scopes for different teams.
Operational tips
- Confirm the Slack app is invited to private channels before expecting deliveries there.
- Changes to configurations are reflected on the next eligible runs after data refresh; see the notifications overview for timing.
